Bittersweet Time of Year...

Why is it there is always so much tragedy during the holidays?

Woke up with the following text from my Daddy...
"Pray for your sister and Taylor.  His sister was killed in a car crash this morning."
The holidays are right around the corner...Dawn and Taylor are getting married on the 29th.  How can you be happy about getting married when you just lost your little sister?

If anyone stumbles upon my ramblings--please just say a prayer for my sister's family during this time.

Sometimes the holidays are just bittersweet.....

is it bedtime yet?

(Marz, I just had to use your girl's pic because it's just perfect!!)

this is me this morning...woke up to a little boy knocking on his door to get up and eat breakfast.  My very first thought, "Thomas Killian why in the world are you awake before 6am!?!"  Roll over, look at my phone, HOLY CRAP it's 7:44!!  Mind you I am supposed to be at work at 8am, 7:50 preferabbly to be briefed on what happened during the night shift.  So no shower, no Dr. Pepper, heck I was lucky to get my teeth brushed and deodarent on!!  Come on 4 o'clock I'm already done with this day!!

One down...several to go!!

I finished my Bailey boy's room tonight....and I love it!  I can't wait to see his face tomorrow when he sees it for the first time!

(please ignore the lazy black cat on the bed, he felt like he needed to be in the picture.)
(new curtains so they are still wrinkled)

(plan on buying a bookshelf for under the baseball player)

(finally a Pinterest project that came out right!!)

(the floor looks bowed out because this is a panoramic pic to show the whole wall)

Still so much to be painted...

I am so ready to be settled in our new house.  We moved in at the beginning of August and everything is still in our garage.  We still have a lot of painting to do...nothing in the living room or kitchen has been done, and I'm sure our bedroom will be the last.

I did start painted Hailee's room but the zebra wall her Daddy promised her has proven harder than I realized it would be.  Pretty sure my mom is coming to finish it later this week, because I have lost all hope on it. LOL.  Now Hailee girl is a tomboy, but she's getting more girly the older she gets.  She asked her Daddy for a turquoise room with a zebra wall, and that is exactly what she is getting.  The turquoise is just beautiful and bright!  I love it!  My mom is making her a new comforter, one side is zebra and blue, and the other is zebra and cheetah both in black and white.  She has bright pink sheets to throw some more color in the mix...so it's just an all out girl room! Yay!

Since I gave up on Hailee's zebra wall I went ahead and started on Bailey's room today, I painted 2 of the walls, but still have 2 more plus a baseball wall to do.  His will be soooooo much easier through.  Hoping my finished baseball wall looks similar to this...

He wanted his walls brown like dirt on a field, so we chose a pretty milk chocolate color.  Hobby Lobby was having a good sale on their decorations, so we bought a lot of baseball decor.  I will post pictures for sure as soon as it is complete!

...but on a totally different note those that know me know that my husband has seizures, well his disability was finally approved and back dated to 2008!!  This means that he is getting back pay, but more than that he qualifies for Medicare.  This is a HUGE thing for us.  I work for the state and our insurance is crazy expensive, so is his medicine.  So this lifts a huge weight off our shoulders knowing that he will get his medicine like he should.

So at least there is some good going on in our crazy lives....

Welcome to My World

This is my first time to venture into this little corner of the world.  I'm Tiffany.  I have 3 beautiful kids, only 1 that I gave birth to, but that doesn't make me love the other 2 any less.  I have a wonderful husband that I love dearly, we have been through some ups and downs during the last 3 years, but we are survivors.  I have a lot of things to let out and this is the best place for me to do that, so let's get to it!

my babies

Sometimes life throws you curves, you can either roll with the punches or let them roll you.  I always try to roll with it...sometimes that is harder than it seems.

There are times when you get hit so hard with something it is just hard to wrap your brain around it.  I won't go into details because families don't deserve to be put on blast to strangers...but that just happened to me.  Someone I thought I trusted and loved had to be cut out of my life because of things that happened in the past.  We hope it was just in the past...

I hope our family can get through all of this without completely imploding.  Two things I know: I will always have my husband's back, and I will always lay down my life for my kids.  Heaven help anyone that tries to come between that...

via.

I truly hope I didn't scare anyone off with my first post, like I said I just need a place to vent, cry, laugh, and love.  I hope to see you back soon... xoxo
